Dean Normington is a highly experienced and strategic executive leader with more than 30 years’ experience in the hospitality and gaming industry. His career spans senior executive and operational leadership roles overseeing large-scale gaming operations, compliance frameworks and venue development across Victoria and South Australia.

As Chief Executive Officer of Mercury Group Victoria, Dean is responsible for setting organisational direction, leading executive decision-making, and ensuring Mercury continues to deliver sustainable outcomes for its members within a highly regulated gaming environment. He brings a strong balance of commercial acumen, regulatory expertise and practical industry knowledge, with a proven ability to optimise financial performance while maintaining the highest standards of governance and compliance.

Dean has led complex multi-venue operations, major redevelopment programs and organisational change initiatives, working closely with Boards, regulators, industry partners and venue stakeholders. His leadership style is grounded in accountability, data-driven decision-making and a deep understanding of the operational realities faced by hospitality and gaming venues.

• Instrumental in implementing enhanced reporting systems and compliance frameworks that improved transparency, accountability and decision-making across multiple gaming entities.
• Successfully delivered multi-million-dollar capital works programs, improving venue presentation and gaming performance while ensuring full regulatory compliance.

• Diploma of Hospitality Management
