Business Development Manager – East
Wayne Robinson is a highly respected hospitality professional with more than 20 years’ experience across pub, club and food service operations. Beginning his career at just 16 years of age in traditional pub kitchens, Wayne progressed rapidly through operational and leadership roles and has held management positions since his early twenties.
Wayne’s career includes extensive experience within the club sector, most notably as Manager of the Maffra Community Sports Club, where he served the organisation and community for many years. His background provides him with a strong understanding of committee-based governance, member-driven venues and the operational realities faced by regional clubs.
During the COVID-19 period, Wayne broadened his commercial experience by establishing and operating his own café, which he continues to run today. This transition also marked a shift into governance leadership, where he has served as a Committee Member and held the role of Vice President across multiple terms. At Mercury Group Victoria, Wayne brings practical insight, strong relationships and a genuine commitment to supporting member venues to succeed.
